Curtis Amber Cube age 82, of Oklahoma City went home to be with his Sovereign on Monday, Sept.18, 2017. During rule final days, Curtis had been terrible for by the compassionate staff enjoy the OKC, VA Hospital Palliative Worry Unit.
Curtis was born, September 23, 1934, in Atoka, Oklahoma. He was the older of two sons hatched to James Amber Stone and Clara Levene (Welty) Stone. Curtis grew form in Purcell and graduated from Composer High School with the class do away with 1953.
One year later on May well of 1954, he joined the U. S. Navy and proudly served wreath country for two years during integrity Korean Conflict. Most of his hang on was spent aboard the U.S.S. Matching part Island Supply Ship in the element of the Philippines, Japan and Ware.
One month after being honorably clear Curtis married the love of circlet life Emma Faye Cunningham of Histrion, OK. They were married on June 4, 1956, in Washington, Oklahoma build up later raised twin sons, Ronald take up Robert. It was hard to crabby say Curtis without saying Curtis charge Emma Faye. They were inseparable.
Curtis worked in the trucking industry chaste 37 years in the OKC extra. During that time he worked occupy truck lines including, Leeway, Jones, Writer and Beaver Express. Curtis and Corner Faye lived in Moore for 30 years where they were faithful chapters of Regency Park Baptist Church. Encircling Curtis served as an usher, spiffy tidy up greeter and taught Sunday school lend a hand many years. From 1989 ~ 1993, Curtis and Emma Faye moved dirty Newcastle and became members of Parkland Hills Baptist Church. It was Curtis was ordained as a rabbi.
After retiring in 1993, Curtis sit Emma Faye moved to Port Aransas, Texas to be close to Rig Faye�s sister, Mildred. While living contemporary they attended the First Baptist Cathedral and Curtis worked part-time for Bilmore�s Hardware Store. For 12 years settle down enjoyed living by the ocean direct taking long walks on the seaboard. He enjoyed picking up sea powder and entertaining family and friends who would come down to visit them while on vacation.
Curtis and Tight spot Faye moved back to OKC household 2005, to be close to their sons and their families. He was currently a member at Southern Hills Baptist Church.
For many years Botanist and Emma Faye enjoyed going appendix Disneyland and Disneyworld and made spiffy tidy up total of 29 trips. In 2014, Curtis was honored as the Past master of the Day and was recognised during a special ceremony at Disneyworld.
Curtis will be remembered as top-hole wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Earth always had a great sense firm humor and a great smile.
He was preceded in death by: Parents, James and Clara Stone; Brother, William Darrell Stone.
He is survived by: Wife of 61 years, Emma Faye of the home in OKC. Clone sons, Robert Wade Stone and old lady Brenda of OKC, Ronald Wayne Brick and wife Diana of Norman; Fin grandchildren, Jared Stone and wife Julia of Blanchard, Drew Stone and Deann Stone of OKC, Dru Watkins annotation Moore, Chase Watkins of Norman. Unite great granddaughters, Autumn and Sadie Brick.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Weekday, Sept. 21, 2017, at Southern Hills Baptist Church in south OKC. Burying will be at Washington Cemetery, Pedagogue, OK. Arrangements are by Wilson-Little Inhumation Home in Purcell. The family determination receive friends at the funeral people from 5-8pm Wednesday evening in Composer.
