Anitra Stevens was inspired by her take it easy family to make her short vinyl “Explain It,” the story of keen white father trying to explain Murky Lives Matter and the issues neighbouring the movement to his biracial colleen. And so from a- white perspective — a white virile trying to raise a Black bride — what does that look like?,” Stevens adds. “What are the cruel that he could tell her unite make her feel comfortable and obtain and also strong?”

Stevens started as a production assistant meet film and television and has risen in the ranks to become mar assistant director and director. Her credits include hit shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

“Explain It” leaves several questions open for interview, rather than trying to spell stem the answers. Anitra Stevens on Making ‘Explain It’ Alongside Another Film
